Desert Tortoise

Do you see that pear shaped anial in the desert?  It's a Desert Tortoise. A Desert tortoise is a reptile.  It's baby hatches from eggs.  It makes its in Desert washes.

   A Desert tortoise eats many different herds and grasses.  It adapts to  the  desert by hidernaling when it's cold.  They get most of the water it needs from the food it eats. 95% desert tortoise's life is spent under ground in burrows.  Adult tortoise can go a full year with out water.
